Imagine continuing education (CE) for breeders with follow-up materials that are relevant to real world experiences and challenges. A program that gives you the ability to develop the skills needed based on your dreams.

Already a breeder or just starting out?

Breeders, trainers and owners have found that breeding dogs, whelping litters and developing puppies has become knowledge-based which means that success requires quality information and the investment of time and effort. If you’re ready to learn more, there are a variety of seminars, reading materials and special videos that can meet your interests. You will learn that success in the dog world is a matter of learning skills. It takes one set of skills to breed, another set to exhibit and a third to judge. One set will not suffice for all three.

Attend a seminar

Our CE program for breeders is intended for adult learners and is not to be confused with basic adult education. It is not the kind of instruction offered to improve language skills or programs in vocational education or GED preparation. Instead, as the term suggests, it is assumed that each student is interested in learning whether just starting out or as an experienced breeder interested in continuing their education in the world of breeding, managing and showing dogs.

Distance learning and live seminars are another important ingredient of our programming. Both are designed to build skills and promote confidence. Our continuing education is designed to develop a better understanding about pedigree analysis and how to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of sires and dams. For those not able to attend a seminar, learning occurs at a slower pace via the selected list of articles and breeder newsletters. All are available 24/7.
