American Kennel Club Companion Animal Recovery ~ CAR is the worlds largest not for profit organization that sells microchips and scanners. All pets regardless of species can enroll their microchip in the CAK/CAR database. This is the largest database in North America and recovers a pet every seven minutes.

National Animal Interest Alliance ~ Our Members feed, clothe, heal, comfort, entertain, inform and protect the world.

Canine Eye Registry Foundation or CERF ~ A closed database that shows only the normal eye examination results by ACVO boarded veterinarians.

The Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) ~ A semi-open registry for hip and elbow dysplasia, autoimmune thyroiditis, congenital cardiac disease, and patella luxation. The OFA data base allows breeders to look up individual dogs, and their health testing status.

Penn Vet Working Dog Center This site serves as a consortium to unite programs that employ detection dogs to benefit society throughout the US and around the world.Collects and analyzes genetic, behavioral and physical data; and integrates the latest scientific information in order to optimize the success and well-being of detection dogs. Papers from the most recent conference are posted for review under the "Conference" link.

The Canine Health Information Center (CHIC) ~ This is an open health database that has been established by the AKC Canine Health Foundation and the OFA. Dogs achieve a CHIC certification by completing certain health-checks. CHIC is about being health conscious, not about being faultless. The CHIC data base allows owners, breeders, and prospective buyers to search online for dogs that have been tested. If a dog completes the recommended test panel (usually three tests) it receives a CHIC number regardless of whether it passes all of the tests. This is an important feature of CHIC because CHIC is about being health conscious it is not about health perfection.

German Shepherd Dog Club of America ~ The official site for the German Shepherd Dog of America Inc. Information about the breed, the parent club and its events, membership and dog events such as: conformation, obedience, agility, herding, tracking and the working dog sport. A film library dating back to 1975 of all the National Dog shows along with the Historical Series library is also available.
